did i get that right? i have always liked that word, but i dont use it too often.

i got to use it this morning when i went into the bathroom to wash up and brush my fangs. you see, apparently and assumingly, my husband must think i'm lookin pretty hot lately, what with lost weight and my deep dark electric tan going on and all...

rofl.

40 years old and i have a hickey.

it's been a crazy 2-3 weeks here for me, winding up my winter boot season for work and more work just keeps piling itself on. i started this week thinking i was going to cram and wipe it all out so I could mess around the rest of the week. that didnt happen.

i'll see what i can get done tomorrow. i need to post some creative stuff too. made a few things but just need to get them up.

will have an announcement to make hopefully in the next couple weeks or so...so stay tuned ;-)

the photo gallery you see to the right were found this evening nested very very deep on an old computer which is networked here at the house. these of of my old paper store. my partner, mel and I loved this place. it was our sanctuary.

anyway - i just had to share them

what is it about turning 40?

i turned 40 back in october. ugh. i was hating it.

I look at myself in the mirror and wonder where I went after becoming someone elses remote control for the last 10 or so years. Life has a way of taking you over and you dont even know it- it took turning 40 to figure that out and so I'm trying to unload and get happy with myself again.

since then, it seems that i've been looking back and trying to grab pieces of my youth and reinstate them. its not that i'm trying to be 25 again, although i loved that age. its more like I am attempting to get back my youthful spirit by doing some of the things I used to do to make myself feel good. and there is nothing at all wrong with that.

I've let my hair grow out - and got more blonde highlights. I even did the funky dark red dye underneath. ooooh! new hair always makes you feel good in my opinion. I've been dieting and trying to drop the XX pounds I've gained since becoming a new mom at 30 (may i say that I have dropped 2 sizes-loving that - but I still have a way to go to look like I used to) I hate the left over baby pooch. its a fat magnet.

We will be joing the gault recreation center soon to get in some exercize, as a family.

LOL - i even started hitting the tanning beds again. OMG. i know. dont say it. all i have right now is an all over body burn. i know how i used to tan easy so i know it will come around in a few days. I forgot how much i loved having a little healthy color. It used to make me feel good. but its been so long since my skin has seen the sun (even living in florida!).

who knows - tomorrow i might even polish my nails.

40 isnt old. its not so bad.

welp - its officially official - the Design Team for Worldwin Papers has officially merged and morphed into The Paper Mill Store.

WWP isnt disappearing, its just broadened its paper spectrum. Which basically means more goodies for me! Whoo Hoo!

i love living in the country. i hate when my dog, jack, barks at critters right when i crawl into bed. he doesnt have a word to say all day until i'm ready to go to bed. HMPH! hate it.

i got my box of christmas in april stuff from my NY peeps the other day. i swear - mel lives in stores. I dont know where or how she finds half the stuff she does, but she is soooo totally the perfect gift giver.

she found this (among other cool things) - LOL - and i just have to share it. no mundane politics will be discussed here and no offense to anyone is intended - but this was so dang funny.

shreve spring migration sensation

this saturday is the annual migration sensation festival in a little town called shreve just a stones throw from here. they hold it at the elementary school where my son goes.

the festival celebrates the return of migratory birds and other wildlife returning to our area each spring. there is protected marsh area where we have an abundance of wildlife, including bald eagles nesting. they have nature hikes and activities for kids & adults. folks from all around come here to educate and get educated.

we will be there helping promoting the effort of our local principal, mr. edinger by bringing in all our t-shirt & hat equipment and pumping out logo shirts & caps to raise awareness of the beautiful natural habitat we have here. we will be donating part of the proceeds to the cause.
